These are a pair of mid 20th century industrial casting patterns, originally used in the foundry process.
Finished in their original red paint, each piece has a strong, sculptural form with a nice flowing curve, combined with contrasting black elements which would have formed part of the moulding process.
Unlike mounted pattern boards, these are individual components, which gives them a more object-like feel. They sit nicely on their own and work well as decorative pieces without needing to be wall-mounted.
