Late Victorian Writing Table
A lovely late 19th century writing table made from solid mahogany with a well-worn leather inset top, retaining a beautifully patina throughout. The top is fitted with its original leather writing surface, framed by a gilt-tooled border anda brass gallery at the back, intended to prevent papers from slipping. Below, the table is fitted with two practical drawers, each retaining brass swan-neck handles, with beautifully turned wooden legs. This piece would work equally well as a writing desk, library table, or small console.
